The United States now Offers Payment of the Visa Application Fee Through Pix

The Embassy and Consulates of the United States in Brazil have made the option to pay the application fee (MRV) through Pix available since March of this year. This new alternative is in the initial phase of implementation and may require up to an hour for payment processing. Besides this method, applicants can still opt for payment by credit card or bank slip. This innovation is part of our ongoing commitment to improving the services offered to visa applicants.

Between January and March 2024, the number of visas to the USA processed in Brazil increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. This means that more than 340,000 visas were processed in just three months across the entire country. In 2024, it is expected to surpass the record of 1.1 million visas issued in Brazil in 2023.
