Visa Changes for Entry into Brazil Starting April 2025

Wykrota Law Firm

Starting April 10, 2025, citizens of the United States, Canada, Australia, and Brazil (without a Brazilian passport) will be required to obtain a visa to enter Brazil.

This is in accordance with new regulations set by the Brazilian government. As of the mentioned date, all travelers from these countries, whether for tourism or business purposes, must present a valid visa upon arrival. Please note that visas cannot be obtained within Brazil, and failure to comply with this requirement will result in the denial of entry.

If you have not yet secured the necessary visa, you can apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) through the official website: brazil.vfsevisa.com.

Please be aware that a printed copy of the e-Visa must be presented to immigration authorities on the day of your travel. We strongly recommend that you visit the official Consulate website for additional information and guidance: gov.br/mre/pt-br/assuntos/portal-consular.
