Accumulation of Green Cards Increases by 8% in March

The National Visa Center (NVC) of the Department of State has registered an increase in the accumulation of immigrant visas (IV), rising from 326,415 in February to 351,624 in March, representing an 8% increase.

The number of green card applicants whose cases were documentarily complete and ready to be scheduled for an interview increased from 374,532 in February to 404,459, also an 8% increase.

A case considered "documentarily complete" is one in which all required forms and documents have been submitted and accepted by the NVC, thus rendering the case ready for interview scheduling.

The number of individuals scheduled for green card interviews also rose, with 52,835 interviews scheduled in March compared to 48,117 in February.
